Hot day!
Temps spiked 20 degrees in 2 hours (and 40-degrees up from yesterday) so only the 'little' two had the endurance to spend any time outside this morning. They are both grass-rollers and T tends to be a sun-basker too. D is still on lead outside for a couple more days to make sure his incision heals up well- he is not a huge fan of that since it keeps him from crazy-racing, but he hasn't been as much trouble as I was expecting (yet at least) considering how little activity he has gotten the last 4 days.

Napping pack
I feel like D thinks of T as a littermate (size? behavior? who knows...) since he plays with her like another puppy, steals toys from her, gnaws her ears, and tries to sleep as snuggly as possible whenever he can. She is OK with him doing the latter when he is chill and sleepy, not such a fan of the rest but we are working with him. :) So today he decided to join her in her under-table 'den' for a nap and she let him do it without getting up and moving elsewhere.

Toddler tantrum
When Doz gets really tired he tends to have a hyper, mouthing fit where he forgets to listen and goes into crazy-dog mode. If you time him out for even a couple minutes he crashes into a dog-puddle and snuggles like crazy.
BFW Walk 2017
The Bernese Friends Worldwide Facebook group started a worldwide walk a couple years ago- on the same weekend, all the Berner-folks in any area could try to get together to do a Berner walk. These occur all over the world and range from one dog to hundreds. Our local area one made it to 9 dogs this year, and was a lot of fun. Plus perfect Berner-weather- not so hot that the dogs all got tired in 5 minutes but not so cold that the human staff freeze THEIR paws off! :D

Learning sharing
We definitely work best when we each have our own bones! And when someone is keeping a close eye on us to make sure we don't decide that the other bone looks tastier.

Backyard romping
EVERYBODY was playing! T and D were racing, and K was wrestling and thumping D with his paws. A grand time was had by all.
Old man playing with baby:
All tired now! At least we can HOPE so...
Good morning (so far)
D decided to start serenading us around 6:20 this morning. Wonder how you explain 'weekend' to a puppy? It wasn't a "I hafta go out NOW!" bark, more "I am awake and I am bored- entertain me!" whine/yelp combo. And then T decided to make it a duet. *eyeroll* We had decided last night to try to push back the wakeup time by ignoring the noise. I called 'Settle!' over the railing and they chilled out for about 40 minutes till I started moving around too much upstairs. Baby steps (no pun intended)! At least it won't be as hard to shift back into my work-week routine if I am getting up around 7 even on weekends!
Our usual morning routine involved letting T and K out of the the morning room. T would race around a bit with one of her disgust-a-balls in her mouth to settle herself. and K would flop on the tile somewhere else after his morning ear-rubs (NOT a morning dog!). Since D has joined us, the beginning part of the routine remained the same but as soon as I let HIM out he would go after T and grab the other end of her disgust-a-ball to try to get her to play. She just dropped the toy and let him take it away it with a sad sheep face.
This morning however, she kept hold of the ball and they had a little head-shaking tug going on. Her head was up and her tail was wagging. Didn't last very long, but definitely a hopeful sign. I hope. :)

First park-hike
Took the baby with the big dogs down to the park today for the first time. We didn't walk them very far since we are still getting the baby's muscles and soft little paw pads used to walking, but he was ecstatic at all the smells and the people and the other dogs and the grass and the trees and the geese (and the goose poop). Brian took the opportunity of a distraction-full environment to work on his wait/focus and the baby did a fantastic job! (Dozer, not Brian. ;) )
Didn't get as many pics as I would have liked since Dozer was in constant motion and juggling 3 leashes among two people doesn't leave a lot of hands free, but here is Brian working on sit/wait with him.

Look at that attention! You would think Brian had cheese in his hand! Oh wait...
And the after-effects on all three:

Nothing cuter than a tired puppy!
First
new-vet visit, microchipped, then first ride in the Element with the
big dogs out to Brian's work to visit and meet some of Brian's
dog-crazier co-workers. On the ride home, we got a zonked puppy. He is
sooo cute when he is sleepy!
Highly observant
Four days into his new home, and Dozer suddenly realizes there are horses on the property right behind us.

Getting to know you...
"...getting to know all about you. Getting to claw you, when you try to sniff my butt."
OK, it doesn't quite scan right but I am operating on fairly little sleep here. :D
Dozer and the Kimi-kitty both wanted to use the same window to smell the spring, watch the birds and chipmunks. So there was a little.. ?negotiating? going on during the process.

Bear rug
He has the bear rug pose down perfectly- and when he lies like that you forget he is a gangly scrawny adolescent.

Moods
This pic perfectly sums up everyone's attitudes. K and T: "This is crap. And I am exhausted. When does he sleep?" D: "Wow, is that food over there? Or a toy? I like food!" :D
