Once we got into PP, of course he forgot every manner he has ever learning- charging for the bone displays (whose bright idea was it to put those things at nose level in a store where they encourage people to bring their dogs anyway? They must be cleaning up knocked-over display constantly.), jumping on the nice boy who was working the cash register when he offered him a treat, etc. He did chill enough after a couple minutes that I was able to hold him and a cart and pick up the dog and cat food bags I needed.
After PP, we went through the Starbucks drive-through. He was well enough behaved that I decided to get out of the car with him and sit on the patio with our drinks. He sat on command and ate his puppaccino like a gentleman. And gave very happy greeting to a nice lady who wanted to stop by and chat dogs with me. :)
After that we packed up and headed back home. The PP behavior was a little discouraging, but the fact that he calmed down and remembered his manners at Sbux made me feel better. He was definitely a LOT better controlled than when we try taking him out with his sister and/or brother. Maybe we will have to just do solo outings with him for now until he gets past his teenager phase. :)
