Th two littles are tired since we walked them around Edgewater Live last night and there were tons of people to see and smells to smell (and litter to attempt to eat). The big one is tired since he has a ripped toenail and had to have a vet appointment yesterday and is now on the good drugs.

Quick hot-weather outing
Took the tiny-dog for a quick postbox and Starbucks-drive-thru run since
quality solo mommy-and-chipmunk time has been at a premium since the
baby came home. She snuffled the breeze, stuck her head out the window,
and got a puppaccino!

New puppy-friend?
The
two little dogs were going all intense with their heads in the bushes
and completely ignoring me when I called – a really bad sign. I got to
them and pulled them off, and this is what I found.
Aaaand later that evening I met the owner of that shed skin. Unexpectedly. Almost stepped on him on the patio steps actually. Possible I may have squeaked out loud. He slithered away and seems to have tucked himself in the space between our siding and the concrete patio steps, which could make for future unexpected sightings (and possible dog-chasing). Here's hoping he finds a safer place to hang.

The car ride home
Apparently nervous little sausage is getting old! She was zonked out most of the ride home. While Dozer... kept on niffling!
2-month anniversary of Gotcha-Day
Hard to believe Doz has been part of our family for 2 months now! Too hot to do too much outside, so we went up for Jimmy Johns/Chipotle patio lunch, Starbucks patio and a quick run through Pet People for celebratory doggie-donuts. The big boy didn't want to get in the car so we left him home to nap (did bring him back a donut though).
On the ride home Tali zonked, but Dozer niffled and stared out the windows the whole way! "We don't DO sleepy, mom!" :D
Starbucks patio- they both look sooo tired!

Edgewater Live
Took the two youngest up to Edgewater Live (free concert/foodtruck event on the beach put on by out Metropark system). Dozer LOVED the smells as always, and got lots of stranger-pets and leashed meet-and-greets with other dogs. He also had his first chance to dip his toes in the lake at the dog beach section of the shoreline. He wasn't super-thrilled about it- kept jumping back when the waves rolled in. I am guessing this will be #3 in our not-a-water-Berner roster. :) To be fair, his body shape tells me he got very little of the Newfoundland genome in there anyway- he looks more like a Borzoi every day with the tucked-up tummy and the curly coat! :D

1 person, 3 dogs, 1/2 mile
Taking nearly 300 pounds of dog for a walk by myself may not be the best
idea in the world, but we got a solid half mile in before the big one
got too tired.
